Historic Maltings Structural Restoration and Re-Roof

Rescuing a collapsing heritage agricultural building through precision structural stabilisation and premium slate reinstatement.

Saving Heritage Architecture From Near Collapse

This challenging project involved the meticulous rescue and restoration of a historic maltings building that was on the brink of structural failure. A severe roof cave-in had exerted massive outward pressure, pushing the main walls dangerously out of alignment. To save the structure, our team engineered a solution using heavy-duty tie beams to brace one side while carefully pulling and straightening the bowing wall back into position. With the core structural integrity fully restored, we completely reinstated the roof framework. The building was finished using premium Spanish slates, seamlessly blending specialist structural engineering with traditional craftsmanship to preserve the property for decades to come.
